Just moved to Cork and Im up for an award!

Cork has been an amazing county and city so far and it just keeps getting better!

Best in Cork 23, The Cork Business Awards 2023, sponsored by Remi Martin fine Champagne Cognac.

A couple of days ago I opened up my emails and found one titled "Congratulations on your Nomination in The Remy Martin Cork Business Awards 2023". I won't lie I thought it was a spoof or spam or something. So I read it out to our marketing manager in the office, she took a look at it on my phone, then at me, and with a big smile said, "No this is real. I know of this award. Congratulations!"

Why I don't believe it

I still couldn't believe it. You see some of you may already know, I only moved to Cork just over a year ago. I have had my own business since 2018/19 when it was set up under a different name PackShot Studios, and that was back in Clare where I am from.

I changed the branding and name back to my own name when I moved to Cork in May 2022, so to get recognised already here in Cork is just so special to me.

I won't win, but it's cool to be in the running!

I honestly can't see Dympna Casey Studios winning the award that I am nominated for, as the competition is very strong and some really fab business are in under "The Cork Small Business of 2023", but to just be recognised, and seen in a new city is really really cool to me!

Cheers to whoever stumbled upon me and nominated me, I will see you at the event and buy you a glass of Champagne!

PS it's being held the night before my Birthday, so what a cool way to end the year for me!
